OUR STORY

Where It All Began

HighonHorses began in 2001, when I was 13 years old and bought my first horse - an off-the-track thoroughbred named Whiskey High. As a joke, I started competing under the name High on Whiskey, playing off the idea that horse people are as addicted to horses as some are to other, less wholesome substances.
That’s where the name came from - HighonHorses became a fun, slightly cheeky way of describing the obsession that so many of us share. Over time, it grew from a personal competition team name (I even had a second horse called High on Bourbon) into something more: a brand, a system, and now a platform supporting horse owners at every stage.
